Ryder's Pulling Up!!!

Ryder has now started to scoot along and pulling up on things. But, once he gets up there he has no idea how to get down and is just frustrated and starts crying. He is 9 months now and time is just flying by and he will be walking in no time. Oh how I wish I could freeze time so my little guy won't get any bigger. This is absolutely my favorite age and I just want it to stay this way. But, that is in no way possible so I just need to document this time and cherish it now because this time will pass all too quickly and my little guy will no longer be so little."Where are you Mr. Porcupine?" "I know your up there!""I see you!""If I can just get up here...""I'm getting closer!""Ahhh...I made it!"Ryder got this porcupine puppet in his Easter basket and he just loves it. He looks so real you almost don't want to touch him, but Ryder doesn't care!

Can We Go Fishing?????

Ever since the weather has gotten half way decent around here the kids have been begging to go fishing. I usually send them with Brad so he can deal with their tangled lines but he has been working on the house so I felt obligated to take them down to the pond for some fishing time. Brooklyn does really well with casting her line in. Gabe on the other hand has a few issues to get through. First, we need to get him a left handed reel, and secondly he needs to develop some patience because he can leave his line in the water for 10 seconds before he needs to reel it in.Here are the messes that Gabe gets himself into and I don't get to fish because I'm spending all my time unwinding his tangled mess.

House Update

Well not much has been happening lately since it's been so rainy and windy, it's hard to get anything done. On this day the trusses for the house did get up in between rain showers. I only watched for a little bit but it was making me nervous watching the guys put up the trusses. So I went to get lunch for everyone so I didn't have to watch.

Brooklyn tried her hand at nailing some pieces of wood together. She did get it accomplished and was very proud of herself!

Egg Dying

Winter is consentrating really hard on the egg decorating. Her and Brooklyn loved it.

Conner was "too old" for egg decorating. She held Ryder instead. Last time she tried to hold Ryder he cryed everytime she looked at him. I guess he got over it and let her hold him this time!

Easter

We had a great Easter this year. It started off with the kids finding their Easter baskets on Sunday morning and having candy for breakfast. ;) Then we all got into our new Easter clothes and headed to church. After church services we went over to Grandma Gloria's house for lunch and a egg hunt. Grandpa Bill, Grandma Marilyn, Chase, Conner, Winter and Zalie were up for the weekend and were there too. Seth, Gina and Uriah were there as well. It was pretty cold outside but the kids didn't seem to care.

Here Gabe is getting a little discouraged about finding his Easter basket.
Here it is!!!

He's now more interested in Ryder's Jack-in-the-Box that he got in his basket.
Ryder was interested in his Peeps!

Just keep blogging...just keep blogging....

Ok....I really need to keep up on this blog if this is what I'm going to use as my scrapbook for the year!!! I've been slacking off and need to do it at least 1 a week.

Ryder is sooooo close to crawling now but just doesn't have the confidence yet to get going. He is starting to lose the baby look and this past week looks so big.:( Everyone comments on his eye color. They kind of are a strange color and I hope that they stay this way. Brooklyn's are blue, Gabe's are brown and Ryder's are blue and brown. Here is a close up pictue of them...
